Show every room with real photos and what is included, make it easy to ask or book directly by WhatsApp or a booking form, take payments guests trust, and keep your Google Maps listing complete.
Why your own website matters
Booking platforms bring guests, but they take a commission on every booking and keep the relationship with the guest. Your own website is where a guest who already likes you can book directly, ask questions, and come back next time.
Many travellers look at both: they find you on a platform, then search your name to see your own site before deciding.
Rooms, rates and what is included
- A page or section for each room type, with several real photos, the bed size, how many guests and what is included, such as breakfast or airport pickup.
- Prices, or at least a clear “from” price, if you can share them. Guests leave sites that hide everything.
- Your policies in plain words: check in and out times, children, cancellation.
Booking or enquiry
| Option | Fits when |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp or enquiry form | You have few rooms and prefer to confirm each booking personally. |
| Booking calendar on the site | You want guests to book and pay without waiting, and you keep availability up to date. |
| Link to a booking engine | You already use a channel manager or booking system that offers one. |
Languages and visitors from abroad
If you host international guests, English is essential and French often helps. Write each language properly rather than relying on automatic translation, and show your location on a map with the distance to the airport or the main sights.
Be easy to find
Complete your Google Business Profile with photos of every room, your hours and your website link. See the Google Business Profile guide.- Answer reviews, good and bad, politely and quickly.
- Keep your name, address and phone exactly the same on your site, Google, booking platforms and social media.
